After Hours at The Vue, November 2011
Beckon Call was a part of the Downtown Corvallis (DCA) After Hours earlier this month, along with Horsepower Productions, Image by Design, @Your Service Marketing and Vue Corvallis. It was a great event and a ton of fun co-hosting with everyone. I believe the final tally of guests was over 100! Impressive, indeed.
It was Beckon Call’s first event, and my first event as a window cleaner. It was a lot fun, lessons learned for the next time (like need to be closer to the food). I’m really looking forward to the next event, which is actually not too far off, should be in early 2012.
Beckon Call started doing business in mid-2009 and the first professional group we joined was the Downtown Corvallis Association. I think that was a great decision, it’s a great group of business people and Joan Wessell is masterful at connecting people. The reason we do not have a license is that the work Beckon Call performs is not covered under the Construction Contractor’s Board (CCB). In fact, obtaining a CCB license would provide no benefit to our customers.
